Set in the flamboyant 1930s, “This is not a murder mystery” reunites world renowned Surrealist artists, including young Salvador Dalí and René Magritte, who find themselves trapped in a lavish mansion with a mysterious serial killer on the loose.
England, 1936. Young surrealist artists, including René Magritte and Salvador Dalí, gather at the grand West Dean estate for a private exhibition. When a shocking murder occurs, Scotland Yard is called in and the estate is locked down.
A new incident shakes West Dean. As the surrealist artists begin to suspect one another, Scotland Yard's investigation starts to focus on a single guest. Paranoia spreads, secrets unravel, and new facts about Sheila's past come to light.
The guests hold a beautiful farewell, while Scotland Yard discovers who will receive a surprising inheritance. Magritte starts his own search for the truth, and new suspects begin to emerge on the estate.
New guests arrive at West Dean, bringing tension and poor manners. As Quant and Thistlethwaite race to connect dots, a masked figure with a face of roses emerges from the shadows. Suspicion grows. Is it a warning - or something dangerous?
Another disappearance? Tension peaks as the exhibition countdown begins. The estate reopens, the gala begins. Lord James' elite guests Picasso, Guggenheim, Freud arrive, ready to turn surrealism into gold. Champagne, whispers, and a twist.
It's opening night. The world's most extravagant art lovers gather, ready to turn surrealism into gold. But as the gala begins, the night takes an unexpected turn and secrets are revealed. Will our artists finally become world-famous?
