...
Shadow of the Rougarou uses horror elements and traditional Métis mythology to tell the tale of sâkowêw, a Métis-Cree fur trapper called back home to rally recruits for the 1885 North-West Resistance. As she nears her childhood home, sâkowêw is overtaken by the haunting memories of her desperate escape from a monstrous Rougarou. Following a trail of blood, a ruthless gang of wolfers, and her own forgotten footsteps, she pushes deeper into the darkness to finally face the curse that ripped her life apart.
sâkowêw finds a mysterious blood-soaked doll on the forest floor as she attempts to return to her long abandoned home.
The Trading Post beckons where sâkowêw must quickly determine friend from foe.
Captured at gunpoint, sâkowêw fights her assailants even as she endures the haunting visions in her mind.
sâkowêw determines the trustworthiness of her new companion as they head deeper into the cursed forest.
Night falls and sâkowêw stalks her enemies even as the Rougarou stalks its prey.
Our three heroes walk home to an uncertain fate.
