Some friendships are criminal.
Bert and Sam have been living in Spain for the last few years, Sam in the rolling hills and Bert in the slightly less idyllic setting of a prison cell. After a decade behind bars, a cancer diagnosis allows Bert to walk free on compassionate discharge. With only a few weeks to live, she resolves to take on a multi-million-pound art heist that will test her mettle, and prove her worth. Sam reluctantly lets Bert back into her life, and quickly finds herself returning to the life of crime she's tried to leave behind.
Fresh out of prison, Bert seeks to reconnect with her single remaining friend Sam in this tale of survival, betrayal and vengeance.
Bert reveals her master plan but Sam knows nothing is ever straightforward with Bert. A shock discovery threatens to kill the heist and destroy their friendship for good.
With Sam reeling and Bert desperately trying to keep control, the heist is thrown off when trouble from home catches up with Bilal.
Just when the gang is on a high, and heist prep is at full throttle — unforeseen disaster derails their plans. Can the gang adapt and achieve the impossible?
Sam enlists Miss Take's help, leaving Bert feeling betrayed. With the heist imminent, Bert and Sam struggle to keep their secrets hidden and their partnership intact.
The day of the heist. Tensions are high, bitter resentment and revenge cut through the air like a knife, can Sam and Bert keep it together long enough to pull it off and escape each other forever?
