Sixty-foot waves, nosy killer whales, hypothermia, tongue rot. Ultra-athlete Ross Edgley attempts to swim all the way around Iceland - 1000 miles of icy water.
West Iceland, Kingdom of the Bull: Ross battles the elements and extreme isolation. He explores the volcano-strewn Snæfellsjökull National Park and the stunning vistas of the Westfjords.
North Iceland, Realm of the Eagle: Ross's epic swim reaches the freezing Arctic Circle. When he’s not rescuing whales from stinging jellyfish, Ross gets rotting salt wounds as he falls behind schedule.
Ross’s muscles start breaking down and his pee turns brown. Melting glaciers and a hurricane threaten the end to his epic escapade. But the end to his epic swim is in sight.
