Years after being torn apart by family and fate, two former lovers reunite as boss and employee, forced to confront a love they can't escape.
Yichen's world is shaken when his new boss turns out to be his old high school classmate, Lufeng, who won't let the past die.
Lufeng’s hospital confession turns their reunion into a relationship, finally ending Yichen’s frantic denial.
Devastated by Lufeng's engagement news, a drunk Cheng Yichen mistakes Qin Lang for his lost love at a bar.
Lufeng proposes getting back together, leaving a conflicted Cheng Yichen terrified of getting hurt again.
Cheng Yichen rushes to the hospital fearing for Lufeng's life, leading to a reconciliation after clearing up the mix-up.
Lufeng's romantic Valentine's Day plans with Cheng Yichen are crashed by colleagues, but Lufeng uses the dinner to announce their love.
Cheng Yichen is caught in the middle after his mother collapses from anger upon catching him in an intimate moment with Lufeng.
Mrs. Cheng's condition worsens. In order to fulfill her wish, Cheng Yichen promises to marry Zhuolan.
Lufeng traps Cheng Yichen at home and brings other men back to provoke him, leaving a heartbroken Yichen still in love.
After learning about Cheng Yichen's situation, Zhuolan rushes to Lufeng's house to take Cheng Yichen away.
Yichen and Qinlang want to take Yichen abroad, far away from Lufeng. Lufeng is unable to stop them and can only watch as Yichen leaves.
Yichen finally learns that Lu Feng's abnormal behavior stems from a mental disorder. Yichen is determined to help him get treatment.
