ハートキャッチプリキュア!
Tsubomi Hanasaki is a girl in the second grade of middle school who likes flowers and plants. One day she experiences a weird dream. In that dream, a large blooming tree appears. Suddenly, it loses all of its flowers and two fairies appear. A few days later after Tsubomi has transferred to Myoudou Academy, suddenly the fairies from the dream appear before her and plead to Tsubomi to become the legendary warrior Pretty Cure, and protect the Heart Tree. However, Tsubomi declines as she doesn't think that she would be able to do that. However, a mysterious enemy suddenly strikes and steals the Heart Flower of her classmate, Erika Kurumi. Now she doesn't have a choice. To retrieve Erika's Heart Flower, she has to transform into a Pretty Cure and fight. Working up the courage, Tsubomi turns into Cure Blossom and a new chapter of Pretty Cure begins!
The Tree of Hearts has lost all its colors, Cure Moonlight has fallen, and two fairies are forced to flee to look for her replacement. This is what Hanasaki Tsubomi dreams while she moves a new town and new school. But is it just a dream?
Even after transforming into Cure Blossom, Hanasaki Tsubomi is not capable of controlling her powers. Will Tsubomi be able to save Erika?
Tsubomi attempts to figure out what it means to be a Cure while trying to help Erika restore the Fashion Club. After revealing she had the same Cure Moonlight dreams, the fairies determine she must be the next Cure.
Tsubomi begins to fear that she is a burden to Erika in battle and worries that she will find someone else to replace her.
Akira Miura believes that his father, who runs a successful ramen shop, cares more about his business than him. However, he is reluctant to talk about it because he does not want to ruin his father's dream.
