The Rich and The Ruthless, the only black owned daytime drama, is operated by tight fisted, debonair, self-made, Augustus Barringer. When greedy studio executives tell him the show is getting booted off the sound stages after 20 years, he is ready to fight back to stay on the air, even if it means filming his quirky soap opera out of his sleek Hollywood mansion or moving the company to Jamaica!
Long after the events of the cruise, the show gets creative in the face of a global pandemic, the Barringer estate becomes a bubble, and Veronica has a breakdown.
Alison makes do while stranded on a deserted island, Bobby manipulates Veronica as she struggles with her mental health, and Max's grand plan hits some speed bumps.
Emmy films a pandemic-style love scene, Willie works out a plan to come home and win a Sudsy, and Kitty does equine therapy at her rehab center.
Alison makes a miraculous return, Ivy continues to stir up tension behind the scenes, and Kitty confronts Augustus about his plans.
Bobby finally gets revenge on his father, Alison gets to know a new castmate, and the cancellation of the Sudsy Awards causes trouble.
