Young Dal and Ok Boon are parents to four grown children, Joon Seon, Ga Hee, Na Hee, and Da Hee. The two eldest ones live at home after getting divorced and the youngest is about to be married soon. The second daughter, Na Hee, is a pediatrician who is married to a colleague. She is the pride of her mother, but her life isn't as stable as it seems.
Na Hee's mother-in-law, Yun Jeong, barges into the hospital where both Na Hee and Gyu Jin work. She makes a big fuss about Na Hee being rude and ungrateful which doesn't help the couple's already rocky relationship. On the day of Da Hee's wedding, Gyu Jin arrives very late. After the wedding, Da Hee receives a big shock from her new husband.
Ok Boon is in an uproar as Da Hee refuses to explain why she wants her marriage annulled. Meanwhile, Gyu Jin's insensitive attitude bothers Na Hee, but she still wants to try to have a baby with him. She asks Gyu Jin to meet her at the fertility clinic, but Yun Jeong's drinking habit gets in the way. Na Hee looks back on her relationship with Gyu Jin.
Na Hee runs into Hyun Gyung, her brother's ex-wife, at the hospital and asks why they got divorced. Hyun Gyung's answer keeps replaying in Na Hee's mind. Meanwhile, Ok Boon goes to see Young Hoon and asks what happened between him and Da Hee. While his rude attitude helps Ok Boon to accept her daughter's wish for an annulment, the Song siblings band together to support Da Hee.
After realizing that Gyu Jin resented her all along for her miscarriage, Na Hee asks for a divorce. However, she wants to keep it a secret until her family gets over Da Hee's annulment. Meanwhile, Da Hee works hard to get hired as a full-time employee at work, but things don't go according to plan.
After hearing from a friend who has gone through a divorce, Gyu Jin realizes that getting a divorce would be the best decision for him and Na Hee. The couple goes to file their divorce application at the courthouse and try to sell their house. However, things seem more complicated than they thought and they decide to settle for an unusual temporary housing situation.
After quitting her job at the travel agency, Da Hee decides that she wants to return to university and study to become a child psychologist. She expects her parents to object, but surprisingly, Ok Boon agrees to her plans. Meanwhile, Da Hee searches for a part-time job and comes across the perfect opportunity.
When Ok Boon finds out that Da Hee got a job at Yun Jeong's cafe, she heads over to make sure that Yun Jeong doesn't have any other intentions. She even manages to get Da Hee a pay raise. Meanwhile, Young Dal heads to a temple to grieve the loss of his younger sister who died when she was just five years old.
When Na Hee goes to Yun Jeong's cafe and sees Da Hee, she demands that Da Hee stop working there. However, Da Hee refuses to listen and leaves Na Hee feeling frustrated. Ok Boon calls Na Hee and Gyu Jin over for dinner as well. Hiding their divorce from both of their families seems to get more complicated as Ga Hee asks about their relationship.
Joon Seon feels a bit down after leaving the stunt team and goes to see his ex-wife and kids. Hyun Gyung's simple words of encouragement give him the energy to start anew, but he needs to get funds to start his own stunt team. However, his family isn't very supportive of his idea. Meanwhile, a new tenant signs a lease at Yongju market.
Na Hee and Gyu Jin both speak at the spring seminar and end up competing for the same job offer. However, when Na Hee gets into a situation at work, Gyu Jin gets worried and runs over to the police station. Meanwhile, Cho Yeon's kimbap restaurant celebrates its opening day with a party. The people in the market are shocked at the boisterous party.
While Gyu Jin contemplates whether or not to show Na Hee that he is worried about her, he runs into an old acquaintance at work. Meanwhile, Young Dal is annoyed by the loud and brazen Cho Yeon after their scuffle during Cho Yeon's opening day celebrations. Young Dal also decides to secretly fund Joon Seon's new business idea through Ok Ja.

Meanwhile, Cho Yeon's diner begins to attract lots of attention, thanks to their flashy style and unusual marketing strategy. The ladies of Yongju Market are not very pleased.

Na Hee takes a day off from work and takes Ok Boon out on a date. She tries to find the right time to tell her mom about her divorce with Gyu Jin, but it isn't easy. Meanwhile, Yun Jeong is lonely as Jae Seok refuses to spend time with her, but she and Da Hee bond over dinner. Finally, Na Hee accepts Director Jang's request to appear on TV.
As Na Hee and Gyu Jin film the first episode of the TV show they joined as panelists, they continue to butt heads with each other. Meanwhile, Gyu Jin's friendly behavior to Bo Young and Si Hoo bothers Na Hee a bit. Finally, Jae Seok helps Da Hee deal with a picky customer and volunteers to teach Da Hee how to stand up for herself.
As Joon Seon struggles to get his business off the ground, his two junior stuntmen have a hard time staying hidden upstairs. Ga Hee, who is looking for any way to pay her credit card bills and living expenses, discovers the two free lodgers and strikes a deal with Joon Seon. Meanwhile, Jae Seok lets slip a big secret while enjoying a drink with Da Hee.
Da Hee finds out that Na Hee and Gyu Jin got divorced when Jae Seok lets the secret slip. Jae Seok makes her promise not to tell a soul, but she loses sleep over it, wondering whether she should tell someone. Meanwhile, Na Hee and Gyu Jin's TV show airs and it seems to be getting a good response from the public.
As Na Hee and Gyu Jin start getting recognized by the public, their mothers seem to enjoy the attention as well. They are swamped with work at the hospital and Na Hee feels guilty after seeing her mom so happy about her TV appearance. Meanwhile, Ga Hee sees Gyu Jin at a supermarket with Bo Young and misinterprets the situation.
