But Yuki betrays Airi by marrying her childhood friend! It turns out they registered their marriage to reassure her grandmother, who had only a short time left to live. Unable to accept this, Airi turns to Hajime and Kai. “Same-sex marriage isn’t recognized, but does that mean a 10-year common-law relationship loses to a marriage that lasted only two months? Which one is valid?” Hajime and Kai become passionate, as the issue affects their own lives. But the person who appears as Yuki’s attorney is completely unexpected, and the debate quickly becomes a tangled mess… Meanwhile, Hajime’s older sister, Kaede (Iriyama Noriko), begs her husband, Owari, for a divorce so she can have custody of Anna (Masuda Risa) herself. At the same time, Hajime faces the biggest crisis of his life!?
“An unfulfilled same‑sex marriage… and a registration that never came through.” For ten years, Yuki (Hinoi Asuka) and Airi (Kitano Ruka) lived together, believing their bond would one day be recognized. But everything collapses when Yuki suddenly marries a man, leaving Airi shattered. Seeking justice, she turns to Otonokita Hajime (Maeda Gouki). The shock deepens when Yuki’s lawyer is revealed to be Owari Yū (Tazekai Terunosuke), a top‑class attorney — and the husband of Hajime’s sister, Kaede (Iriyama Noriko). As Hajime prepares for a fierce legal battle, he is unexpectedly suspended for three months. With no way forward, he teams up with his partner Iseya Kai (Mizusawa Rintarō) to devise a bold plan. Meanwhile, Kaede’s health worsens, and when Hajime, Kai, and Anna (Masuda Risa) visit her, an unforeseen situation unfolds.
"A final wish...a request for legal representation from a dead person" During the period when Hajime (Maeda Gouki) was suspended from work, his sister Kaede (Iriyama Noriko) passed away before her request for divorce legal representation could be fulfilled. Owari (Takezai Terunosuke) had been abusive and had even hit Anna (Masuda Risa), so Kaede had intended to divorce Owari and entrust Anna to Hajime. After Kaede's death, Anna was forcibly taken back to Owari. Now that Kaede is gone, it will not be easy to separate Anna from Owari, who has custody of her. Hajime deeply regrets having put off asking Kaede for divorce advice. Having made up her mind, Hatsujime finally goes into Owari's office and "declares war"!
"A Request for Defense from Heaven! The Final Battle" "I will soon be gone from this world. That’s why I want to entrust Anna, the only person I have any regrets about, to Hajime."
